On a recent day trip to Jerome, AZ, I stumbled upon a kaleidoscope store. I am not sure how I ever missed it all the previous times I’ve been to Jerome. Nelly Bly is the name of the store. One step in, and I became a 10 year old. Looking through the telescope sized kaleidoscopes, with a stained glass wheel in front of them, spinning, and looking, and wooing at shapes, each cooler than the one before. Spin again, and a new design emerges.
I almost purchased a book, describing the optics behind, along with a kit to make your own. But I had no patience to learn or build my own. I bought a small, inexpensive one, that you can hold in front of your phone camera lens and have a whole lot of fun, like a 10 year old.

Here are a few photos of that.

So cool!
I love kaleidoscopes!
