The desert in black and white

Desert plants

I am in love with desert plants.  I love drawing them, painting them, sewing them….and aside from the thorns they are pretty easy to take care of.  Very forgiving, for someone forgetful like myself, they don’t die on me if I forget to water them.  Actually I don’t water them. I like turning my photos… Read More The desert in black and white

Always beyond myself when The Smithsonian gets some of my blocks in their Artomat machine. The closest to ‘famous’ that I will ever feel hahaha. Just kidding. But I do feel secretly happy!!! #artomat
Remembering last winter’s trip to New Mexico and the kids seeing snow which is nothing short of a miracle for them. They wanted to touch and play every dirty snow patch they saw. No snow here ever, nothing that would stick on the ground. But it’s cold and gray today, I am feeling cold and pretending that winter has arrived. So I remember these photos and dug them out to get even deeper in the winter mood. Even though deep deep down I have been a desert rat for a long long long time.
Hey Thanksgiving travel is almost over!!! Did you travel? Did you survive? Did everything go well? Were your bags missing? Sometimes I play the baggage fairy at work and try to work magic. I’ve been lucky that I work in an old terminal that doesn’t get as busy as what crazy holiday travel you may see on TV. Hope your travels are pleasant and free of stress. Much love ❤️
