A while back I started sewing on paper because of my lack of skill at the time to draw.   I could free form cut shapes, but couldn’t get myself to draw the same shape.  Strange I know, but I am still a little bit like that.  Here is a collection of imaginary flowers I cut out of fabric and stitched on paper to make greeting cards.
