Decorating a tag is a project that puts me at ease.  I think of it as a warm up exercise.  The tag is small, and there is no anxiety about covering all that blank space.  I like to stain my tags with tea.  It’s a pretty simple technique.

• Make tea.
• After brewing take the used tea bag and instead of disposing it, put it in between a few tags.  Like a sandwich, tags-tea bag-tags.  You can then put something heavy on top, like a rock, or a heavy can of food.  Let it sit overnight and the next day you have some vintage tags.

Then decorate.  This time I decided to use markers and gel pens to draw.
