I find it much easier to work on a piece of paper that is not white. Something about the pristine witness keeps me from putting any marks on it. So what I usually do is cover an entire sheet of paper with watercolors. A wet on wet: spray the piece of paper with water, then start adding watercolors.
I used Color Burst by Ken Oliver, a new and lovely product. Then I doodled with black micron pen and gel pens. Fun! And Zen!
